VFF active management report

The VFF active management report is a text (.txt) report required by Norwegian VFF's Active Management service. It is reported by the member companies of VFF's committee for active management. The report contains position figures (market value in NOK thousands), grouped by customer segment and position allocation.

Install the report and fill in the data

To install the VFF Active Management (TXT) report and prepare the report data:

  1. Go to ToolsAdministerInstall optional packages and install the following packages:

    • Asset types: "VFF Active Management" under "Asset classes and types".

    • The report package: "VFF Active Management Report" under "Other packages".

  2. Add a new contact (see Add a contact for instructions) with the Basic Info properties listed below. This contact defines the company name in the output file name, as well as the company ID value for each row in the report.

    • Contact ID : "VFF Active Management".

    • Contact name : Company name of the reporting company.

    • External ID: The ID of the reporting company (provided by VFF).

  3. Add a customer segment tag ("VFF Active Management Segment-<number>") to the primary contacts of the portfolios that are in the report scope. The number in the tag defines the customer segment code value in the report (used to group data).

    • VFF Active Management Segment-1 Municipality or public entity.

    • VFF Active Management Segment-2 Insurance company or pension fund or bank.

    • VFF Active Management Segment-3 Foreign.

    • VFF Active Management Segment-4 Other.

  4. Add the "VFF Active Management" asset group to each security in the report scope. To do this, go to the Security window, Allocation tab. The code number in the asset type (for example, Norwegian shares (11)) is used in the report to group data.

Generate report

To generate the report:

  1. Click NewNew report and choose the "VFF Fund Active Management (TXT)" report.

  2. Choose the report options:

    • Contact, portfolio, or a group of portfolios.

    • Report date.

    • File format: TXT.

  3. Click Generate report.
