Q3 2025 release

Q3/2025 release provides you with new features related to capital gains tax (CGT) calculation, rebalancing, bonds, as well as some technical improvements. Here are some highlights from this quarter’s release.

Capital gains tax figures in FA Operations

Capital gains tax (CGT) calculation is a major focus of this release. This new feature lets you track CGT automatically when you record sales, allowing you to see both the CGT due from individual transactions and the total amount accumulated since the start of the tax year. CGT figures are available via API – you can use them, for example, in your reports or in FA Client Portal.

In this release, CGT configurations support such jurisdictions as UK, Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. Support for CGT calculation according to the legislation in Finland is coming up in the next releases.

The new CGT calculation feature doesn't affect your current tax reporting set up, so you don't need to make any adjustments to continue using the tax reporting. In the future, we plan to integrate CGT calculation and tax reporting in FA Platform, and we will reach out beforehand if any setup adjustments are required.

Conservative sell logic for rebalancing

A new option for conservative rebalancing applies stricter rules to sells, ensuring that you avoid short positions and oversells.

For details, see FA Back 3.28 - Release notes.

Bonds

In Q3 2025, we continue to expand support for fixed income instruments and adapt to different market conventions. This release includes updates for discount-rate instruments, fixing generation for floating-rate notes, separate day count conventions, trade increment validation, and redemption yield periodicity.

Performance

This release delivers several performance improvements across FA platform, aimed at speeding up key workflows and enhancing responsiveness. Notable improvements include faster transaction search record creation through batch processing, optimized Versions window loading, scrolling timeout to prevent UI freezes in large lists, and more efficient purchase lot and position calculations for large portfolios.

For details, see Technical release notes Q3 / 2025.

Jsreport update

This release improves report generation reliability by upgrading Jsreport to version 4.10.0 and reconfiguring it to use separate Chrome processes for each report. Make sure you check your custom reports after the upgrade.
