FA Client Portal 1.11 - Release notes
Released: December 2024
FA Client Portal 1.11 improves the consistency of language and translations in FA Client Portal and introduces the option to add hyperlinks to banners. There are also other smaller improvements and fixes.
Hyperlinks in banners
Why?
Companies sometimes need to add links to further information in FA Client Portal banners. For example, you might want to notify the user about an ongoing campaign and provide them with a link to further information about it.
Who is this for?
This improvement is for FA clients who want to notify users with banner messages and direct them to other pages outside the FA Client Portal.
Details
We added the option to include hyperlinks in banners shown in FA Client Portal. This makes it easier to direct users to other pages via clickable links. For security reasons, we restricted the functionality to hyperlinks only, so other code such as JavaScript is not allowed. This update built on the banner functionality introduced in a previous version and improved its usability without compromising security.

Improved logic for how translations are used in FA Client Portal
Why?
We implemented this improvement because some translations intended for FA Back were shown in FA Client Portal if there was no translation file for FA Client Portal.
Who is this for?
This improvement is for FA clients who offer FA Client Portal in several languages.
Details
We improved the translation logic for FA Client Portal. Now, if there is no translation file, the app defaults to English for text, numbers, and dates. Before, some translations defined for FA Back could be used in FA Client Portal, causing language inconsistencies. If you upload a translation file for FA Client Portal, the app uses the translations for texts and localizes the formatting of dates and numbers accordingly.

Other improvements
The Buy window now lets the user select the account to use. This is useful in case a portfolio has two or more accounts in different currencies (for example, USD and EUR account). The trade amount is validated against the selected account.
Fixes
When using translations in FA Back, the transaction type filters in the Transactions view are now correctly translated.
