Standard Solution July 2025 - Release notes
Released: August 2nd, 2025
The Standard Solution July 2025 release introduces several improvements and a number of fixes.
Cost extraction to multiple portfolios by custodian
Why?
Previously, when extracting transaction-related costs and taxes in FA Platform, you could only route them to a single target portfolio. This setup works well if you use a single omnibus account. However, for setups involving multiple custodians, extracting costs to one portfolio made custodian-level reporting difficult. Now, you can define multiple target portfolios for cost extraction, each mapped to a specific custodian.
Who is this for?
This improvement is for the operations teams working with omnibus account structures across multiple custodians.
Details
To set up costs and taxes to multiple portfolios by custodian, you need to set up contact-portfolio linking and define the configurations. The configuration window (Tools → Administer → Data aggregation → Extraction of costs in FA Back) now has a new option “Use custody portfolios instead”.
Once configured, FA system automatically routes extracted costs and taxes to the appropriate custodian fee portfolio.
Learn more: Extract costs and taxes as separate transactions.
Other improvements
Stamdata configuration now features a field for the Base API URL. If for any reason the URL provided by Stamdata changes, you can update it in the configuration. Learn more: Set up Stamdata market data connector.
Transfer assets between portfolios feature now keeps track of ex-post costs associated with the moved position. Learn more: Transfer assets between portfolios.
Fixes
Accounting
Fixed a compatibility issue in the Sample accounts and posting rules optional package that would cause it to crash during installation.
Corporate actions
Fixed an issue where scheduled Coupons and expirations process was creating duplicate expiration corporate actions and transactions. This was caused by a mismatch in how expiration dates were adjusted using holiday calendars, leading the system to not recognize existing actions. The logic has been corrected to ensure consistent date handling and prevent duplicates.
Reporting
Fixed an issue in the Ex-post costs and charges report to correctly include accrued interest in the “Cumulative effect on costs and charges return” section.
Fixed a compatibility issue in the SEB Custody report with recent versions of FA Fund Management.
Trading connector
Fixed an issue where trade updates could sometimes be incorrect when multiple orders were sent at once. The system now handles incoming messages more reliably, so updates from the trading platform reflect the correct order status every time.
