Calculate fund ex-post costs and create rebates

You can calculate fund and share class fees and record ex-post costs to generate a standard ex-post cost report or distribute kickbacks to shareholders with the standard rebate contracts functionality.

Set up fee calculation

To set up fund-level fees, define the fee formula, amount of percentage, and ex-post category in the Fund wizard, Fee structure tab (for details, see Fee structure tab).

To set up share class-level fees, define the fee formula, amount of percentage, and ex-post category in the Share class wizard, Fee structure tab (for details, see Fee structure tab).

Record ex-post costs and generate ex-post costs report

When you accept NAV, the fee amounts are recorded in FA Back (Security window for the share class security, Ex-ante/Ex-post costs tab). You can generate the ex-post report in the Report window.

Create rebate transactions

  1. Define the Rebate % in the Rebate contracts tab of the client’s Portfolio window. This is the part of the management fee that is returned to the investor: For example, if the management fee is 1.5% and 1% should be returned as rebates, 66,67% should be used as the kickback %.
