Corporate actions view
Corporate action view allows you to view, create, schedule, and run corporate actions. The Corporate actions view is a tool to allow you to easily mass-create transactions to your portfolios based on corporate actions that affect multiple portfolios: the corporate action view saves the corporate action information and keeps track of the runs you have scheduled or made to different portfolios for easier management of corporate actions.
Searching for corporate actions
The Corporate actions view consists of two sections: the upper part of the view lists the corporate actions saved in the system, and the lower part lists the runs related to a selected corporate action.
The corporate actions saved in the system are listed at the top of the view based on the corporate action date, latest first, and within the same date, alphabetically based on the security of the corporate action. The corporate actions can be filtered based on the information defined for corporate actions. The filtering can be done with content of the columns available on the view: you can filter the corporate actions for example with the corporate action type, dates or other search criteria in the rest of the columns.
The lower section lists the runs or scheduled runs linked to a corporate action selected from the list of corporate actions above. The Runs column allows you to easily see how many runs are linked to your corporate action - if there are more than 0 runs, selecting the corporate action will list the runs in the table at the bottom of the view. You will be able to see the date and time and whether a run has been performed or Scheduled together with the portfolios included and the user who performed the run.
The New corporate action and New run buttons allow you to create a new corporate action or run and schedule an existing corporate action in the Corporate action window.
Modifying corporate actions
The existing corporate actions and corporate action runs can be viewed, modified and deleted in the Corporate action window by double-clicking a corporate action or a corporate action run from the listing.
Note
You are only allowed to modify a corporate action that has not yet been run to any portfolio(s). If you wish to modify a corporate action already run to portfolio(s), first delete the run(s) (which will also delete the corresponding transactions from the portfolio(s)), then make the desired modifications, and re-run the corporate action to the portfolio(s) again.
