View the user's linked contact or external ID

To view the user’s linked contact:

  1. Go to the FA Admin console, User Management view.

  2. Click the user row to open the User details pane on the right. The pane shows either of the fields:

    Linked contact

    The contact linked to the user (either manually or automatically). You can see the linked contact with the contact name and ID (for example, "Colin Customer (010180-123B)").

    Linked contact external ID

    External ID received from the external identity provider. If you see this field, this means that FA failed to link a contact to the user. This can happen, for example, if there is no contact with the corresponding ID stored in FA, or if there are several such contacts. To troubleshoot this, link the contact manually: see Link a contact to the user.
